Andy's Update.  11.06.00

Following Andy's crash at the Braintree Carnival.  He under went extensive tests at Broomfield Hospital which revealed a fractured sturnum.  He and his parents got home after 4.00am Sunday morning.  Andy will be out of the Team for a few weeks, we all look forward to him flying with us again and wish him all the very best for  aspeady recovery.

Blue Falcons - Guinness World Record Holders

A team of 10 gymnastics from the BLUE FALCONS DISPLAY TEAM from Chelmer Valley High School completed a world record 4093 vaults in one hour on 2nd December 1999.

CONFIRMATION OF OUR
WORLD RECORD EVENT
We are delighted to confirm that following a very successful meeting with
Malcolm Tilsled, Manager of The Meadows, and Cathy McBride the Chelmsford
Town Centre Manager, the World Record Event will be taking place on Saturday
13th September 2003 in Backnang Square, The Meadows, Chelmsford!
We would like to take this opportunity to express our thanks to both Malcolm
and Cathy for the sheer enthusiasm that they are showing, and their
encouragement.

It is anticipated the event will begin at 10.30-11 am. Two teams of ten
gymnasts will compete with each other, to smash the "Vaults in one hour"
record already set and held by the Blue Falcons. We expect this to be a
double record break. The first of its kind. This is no "attempt", this is THE
EVENT!
But who are the gymnasts involved? That is down to each member of the team to
decide for themselves. Throughout this coming season, regular fitness tests
will be undertaken. Anyone can make the top twenty! All it takes is all you
have to give.
We expect this to be an amazing season with everyone giving 100%.

We also have confirmation that Little Haven Hospice have given us permission
to raise funds on their behalf. We are sharing sponsorship raised with them,
and the proceeds will go towards sponsoring a Special Care Nurse.
Young people making a difference in other young peoples lives.

Further details will follow as the final details are confirmed.
